Weather experts said that residents of central and southern Florida would encounter multiple days of periodic rains due to stormy conditions.
They said this was due to the waves of moisture that would hit the state.
More Rains This Christmas
Meteorologists said that more rains, which will come in at least two rounds from Christmas Day through late week, will contrast with what will be a relatively quiet and dry run-up to the holiday season.
Furthermore, this condition is a continuation of what has been a wet month-and year-in parts of Florida.
Authorities advised residents to bring their umbrellas as well as other rain gears as protection for the wet weather.
Officials said that the same storm that brought flooding to Southern California and will soak portions of the Plains and Mississippi Valley this weekend will also arrive in Florida on Christmas Day.
This will be the culprit, bringing the first round of rain for the holiday week.
Due to this, meteorologists are monitoring the potential for heavy rains that may bring floods in residential areas over the holiday.
Weather experts said that Christmas looks especially soggy in the Florida Panhandle as the moisture streaming north from the Gulf of Mexico can bring heavy thunderstorms.
In total, some places could receive an inch or two of rain, which can lead to some flooding.
Meteorologists said that east-northeast winds of 15 to 20 knots will continue to produce seas up to around 7 feet beyond 20 nautical miles of the central Florida Atlantic coast, and over the nearshore waters of the Treasure Coast, and a Small Craft Advisory continue for these portions of the local Atlantic.
They said that small crafts in the area should exercise caution in the nearshore Volusia and Brevard County waters for seas up to around six feet.
A high risk of dangerous rip currents continues at all central Florida Atlantic beaches. Officials said that entering the surf is not advised.

Effects Of River Floods
When it comes to river flood impact, the Saint Johns River at Astor is forecast to remain within MinorFlood Stage, with levels remaining steady or only slightly declining over the next several days.
Above Lake Harney near Geneva, the river has reached Action Stage and is forecasted to continue rising. Levels are also forecasted to rise near Action Stage at Sanford in the middle of next week.
Moreover, Apalachicola, Panama City and Tallahassee are among the cities that will have a very wet Christmas.
While localized flooding from the rain is of paramount concern among authorities and residents, the conditions may also be ripe for the development of strong and gusty thunderstorms.
Later in the day, and on Christmas night, some rains can also advance into the peninsula, bringing raindrops to places such as Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa.
Authorities advised those planning on a post-Christmas vacation around the Orlando area that a frontal boundary remaining in the area can bring a couple of rounds of rain from Tuesday into Wednesday.
During that period, the rainfall rates may be lighter and the rain is expected to be more intermittent.
