British Columbia Man Surfs From Raging Wildfires in Canada, Viral Video Shows

A man in British Columbia was found surfing amidst the raging wildfires in the region, according to a viral video. Fortunately, the man was safe.

The challenging dry conditions and erratic winds unleashed deadly and uncontrolled wildfires in Canada.

Recently, Nature World News (NWN) reported that the raging wildfires in Canada brought unhealthy levels of smoke to the Northeastern U.S. and Midwest.

According to CNBC News, the wildfires in Canada brought massive carbon emissions this year.

Europe's Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) noted the fires unleashed about 290 megatons of emissions. The report highlighted the unusual wildfires in the region due to dry and warm conditions.

People were immediately evacuated from Osoyoos, British Columbia, after the wildfires managed to reach the area.

According to reports, the warmer weather helped to unleash the fire that burned over 10,000 acres of land in the region.

Amidst a the raging chaos, a video went viral after a man in British Columbia was surfing amidst the threat of wildfires. According to AccuWeather's report, the man was recorded near Osoyoos Lake on July 29.

Brody Mcintosh, who captured the video, explained to Storyful that they thought the moment was a once-in-a-lifetime video, adding that they were in a safe location.

Wildfires in California and Southern Nevada

On the other hand, the U.S. also experienced deadly wildfires. NWN and CNN reported that raging fires emerged in California and Nevada.

The reports showed that the major wildfire or York fire unfolded in California's Mojave National Preserve that managed to reach parts of Nevada. The fires burned at least 80,00 acres.

More than 400 fighters were immediately deployed in the area to extinguish the fire.

Due to the wildfire, a rare Joshua trees were also heavily affected by the fire.

According to Associated Press (A.P.), the rare Joshua tree was not spared, as fires threatened the vegetation in the region.

Joshua trees are also known as Yucca brevifolia and are vital to birds and insects in the area, the National Park Service reported.

Meanwhile, beavers are also tapped in California as natural engineers to address the problems and wildfires.

This late week, NWN latest forecast said that extreme heat and wildfire risk could likely be in Southwestern U.S., including California, Arizona and Nevada.
