As the second week of July begins, the latest weather forecast explained that New York City and Pennsylvania experienced heavy rain and flash flooding risks.

Americans with travel plans should consider the weather conditions this week before planning any outdoor activities, as drenching storms and severe thunderstorms could become likely this week.

The severe weather outlook could likely result in slower commutes and travel disruptions this week due to heavy rain and flash flooding.

Recently, Nature World News (NWN) reported that Central US could likely unload on the weekend, bringing damaging winds and hail conditions.

Rainy conditions in New York City

Recently, parts of the Northeast suffered from summer-like conditions, including New York City. The troublesome heat caused heat-related concerns in the region.

This week, AccuWeather's latest forecast showed that drenching storms unload heavy rain and flash flooding in parts of New York City and Pennsylvania.

The report noted that the heavy rain and flash flooding resulted in travel disruptions.

The rain caused vehicles to become submerged, especially in Orange County, Main Street in Highland Falls and Fort Montgomery.

Meanwhile, the report noted that Pennsylvania recorded the same flooding concerns in Juanita County, Berks County, Highway US22 and Pennsylvania Route 309.

Furthermore, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported a flood threat in parts of New England (Monday), bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The forecast noted that heavy rain and thunderstorms could become likely in parts of Northeastern New York and Vermont.

Due to the chances of lightning, the NWS Mobile forecast warned of possible thunderstorms.

The advisory explained that residents should look for a safe location and immediately shelter when lightning occurs.

Isolated tornadoes and damaging winds

In other reports, possible isolated tornadoes, hail conditions and damaging winds could become likely in the Central United States due to the inclement weather pattern.

Based on AccuWeather's outlook, severe storms could unload in St. Paul, Green Bay, Omaha, Wichita, Denver and Dallas.

The forecast added that areas in Memphis, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Atlanta and Little Rock could be at risk of the severe outlook.

Furthermore, the severe outlook could continue on Tuesday, especially in Bismarck, Rapid City, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Fargo, Minneapolis and Des Moines.

Staying safe from the severe outlook

This week, the severe weather conditions could cause travel and safety concerns.

It is best that motorists and homeowners should stay updated with the weather. If they have scheduled flights, checking the weather conditions would be helpful.

Furthermore, homeowners should check their homes for possible repairs. Emergency kits would be helpful as the weather could result in power outages and travel difficulties.

When the weather conditions become challenging, it is best to stay at home.
