Parts of the Southeast United States and the Mid-Atlantic would expect a rebound to warmer conditions this week, according to the latest forecast.

Recently, severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes threatened parts of the South.

While many residents are used to extreme events, the weather conditions could still become challenging.

During the first week of February, Associated Press (AP News) reported that parts of Texas suffered from intense ice storms that resulted in widespread power outages.

Big warmup in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic

AccuWeather's latest weather forecast this February 20, a record-challenging warmth is expected in the Southeast.

Although the forecasts noted warmer conditions, residents and commuters should bring an umbrella and raincoat protection for possible isolated rain.

Unlike in other parts of the United States, the National Weather Service (NWS) that a possible winter storm would strike the Northeast, Great Lakes and Western United States.

However, the weather in the Southeast would be suitable enough with average temperatures.

According to AccuWeather's outlook, the big warmup is forecast for Wednesday, bringing widespread 70s and 80s in some parts of the Southeast.

The unseasonably warm temperatures would unfold in Houston, Tampa, Charleston, Charlotte, Richmond and Nashville.

During the early week, the forecast added a wintry mix weather outlook.

  • Fargo would experience snow.
  • Rain is forecast in Atlanta, Bangor and Portland.
  • Warm conditions are expected in Houston, Phoenix, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Memphis, Alabama, Florida Peninsula and Tennessee.

Meanwhile, the blast of arctic air is forecast to spread over Seattle, San Francisco and Fargo.

Furthermore, those with travel plans would enjoy the warmer conditions this week as March comes near.

It is noted that the temperatures in parts of the United States would feel a sudden warmth due to the coming spring season.

Winter Storm's forecast in the US

While the Southeast would experience warmer temperatures, the National Weather Prediction Center reported a challenging winter storm forecast over the West Coast, Midwest and Upper Midwest in the late week.

Snow lovers can anticipate more snow and freezing rain this week, especially on Thursday.

There is also a chance of blizzard conditions.
