Storm to Soak South-Central U.S From Texas to Alabama This Week; Expect Flash Flood Risks and Travel Delays

A beneficial rainfall would occur in portions of the South-central U.S and from Texas to Alabama. The rain would help drench areas experiencing drought, while some residents would feel a temperature cool down.

However, the report said that the storm could unleash heavy rains, which could benefit many states, but advised residents to watch out for flash flood risk, travel delays, and potentially severe thunderstorms this coming weekend.

According to AccuWeather, many parts of the United States have been experiencing drought, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Billings, Kansas City, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and Chicago.

The beneficial rain would alleviate the heat and offer much-needed rain for the farmers and agricultural lands.

AccuWeather added that portions of Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Jackson, Lubbock, Little Rock, and San Antonio could expect rainfall from late Thursday to Saturday.

At the same time, local downpours would occur in Wichita and Odessa.

While Halloween is around the corner, Americans should expect rain while enjoying the start of November.

Meanwhile, the weather news said the severe storm could cause strong wind gusts and localized flash flooding.

In the previous report, portions of the Northwest have also expected a rainy beginning of November. The severe conditions in the Northwest could result in strong winds, flooding risks, and rising rivers.

The rain would also help to drench areas in the Northwest that are drought-stricken.

Meanwhile, damaging wind gusts up to 55 to 65 mph could unleash the same day.

According to AccuWeather, the following areas at risk of severe thunderstorms are Del Rio, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Odessa, Lubbock, and Amarillo,

On Friday, the report said portions of Lubbock, El Paso, Odessa, and San Antonio would have windy and chilly weather.

Thunderstorms could occur in Dallas, Austin, and Houston.

Meanwhile, dry air retreats could occur in Wichita, Oklahoma City, Jackson, and New Orleans.

 Drought in U.S Midwest
