Spain has recently proposed energy-saving initiatives, notably limitations on cooling stimulation and warming settings in civic and big office properties. The nation joins Europe on the aim to cut power use and reliance on Russian petroleum and natural gas.

Spain's Energy Saving Initiatives

According to experts, for the country to be able to save energy till 2021, warming need not be adjusted beyond 19 °C and air conditioning cannot be set lower than 27 °C.

More so, the directive states that it takes action in a week and extends to municipal spaces, retail centers, theaters, theaters, transport hubs, and airlines. To save power, doorways should be locked, and fixtures in store fronts must be turned off upon 10 p.m., as per The Guardian.
