High pressure should be able to keep things dry during the day on Wednesday, but showers and thunderstorms will be possible again Wednesday night and Thursday. A strong to severe storm may form here as well, but this is not guaranteed.

Friday through next Sunday is expected to be dry and mostly sunny, with afternoon temperatures ranging between 78° and 84°. This should make for a pleasant July second weekend. Low temperatures in the 50s will also be ideal for sleeping.

Overall, the weather in central Michigan has been fairly typical for early July, with some dry days and storm chances on other days. The normal high temperature for this time of year in Mount Pleasant is 84°, and the normal low temperature is 61°, so any nighttime low in the 50s is cooler than normal but very comfortable.

The Weather Channel forecasts the following week, July 11 to have partly cloudy skies in the morning and a 44% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms during the night. Temperature lows may reach 65°.

Tuesday, July 12 is slightly warmer during the day at 86° but colder during the night at 64°.

Temperatures take another dip on Wednesday with temperatures reaching 83° during the day and a chilling 61° during the night.

Thursday and Friday temperatures continue to descend at 82° and 81° respectively during the day. It gets cooler at night as Thursday gets 59° and Friday night is even colder at 58°.

Saturday weather mimics Thursday's weather at 82° during the day and 59° at night.
