Parasites: Backyard Chickens More Susceptible Than Those From Poultry Farms
Backyard chickens living in spacious coops with access to the great outdoors carry more ticks, mice and lice than their poultry farm-raised counterparts. Researchers from the University of California, Riverside, hope their study will help chicken owners implement more effective methods of parasite prevention.
