Bat Wings and Unmanned Vehicle Design: Newly Responsive Wing Design Could Lengthen Flights
Bat wings' quick and sensitive response to changes in their environment were the basis for a new design that broadens the capabilities of micro air vehicles (MAVs), a type of unmanned aerial vehicle. Two universities with additional funding from the U.S. Air Force produced the design.
