As New Vent Emerges, Volcanic Ash Cloud in La Palma Caused Disruptions in Flights

On Sunday, an extensive cloud of ash halted flights coming in and going out of the Spanish island of La Palma as molten rock kept jumping high into the air from an active volcano. There were no flights arriving or departing, even though emergency workers were removing the ash from the airport runway.
