Nearly 20% of World's Giant Sequoias Died as a Result of California Wildfires
Almost 20% of the world's huge sequoia trees have been lost to wildfires that took place in California over the past two years. It was estimated that between 2,261 and 3,637 sequoias were killed by wildfires in Sequoia National Park and the neighboring national forests in 2021.
