Stratosphere Smoke Particles May Cause Chemical Reactions That Erode the Ozone Layer

According to a new MIT study, while suspended in the atmosphere, smoke particles from wildfires can cause chemical reactions that erode the protective ozone layer that shields the Earth from the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation.
