Study Shows Significant Population Declines in Antarctic Seabird
Researchers have found that the population of South Georgia shag, an already rare Antarctic seabird is decreasing. There have been large population declines at both Signy Island in the distant South Orkney Islands and Bird Island near the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia in a census that lasted for 40 years, according to a new study.
