Adults Aged 18-64 Are More Likely to be Affected by Extreme Heat Than the Elderly
A new study led by researchers found that adults between the ages of 18 and 64 are more likely to go to the ER on days of extreme heat than adults over the age of 75. Extreme heat-related health complications appear to be more prevalent among young and middle-aged US adults than older adults, according to the study.
