Endangered Species: African Penguin Born in Conservation Program at Indiana Zoo
African penguins, also called "jackass penguins" because of their braying call, are in danger of extinction and have decreased by 60 percent in the last 30 years in their native range. A female African penguin was just born at an Indiana zoo's conservation program.
