Scientists Spotted 'Cosmic Monster' Ejecting Energy as Much as Billion Suns
Scientists recently discovered that within a fraction of a second, a magnetar star suddenly erupted and emitted as much energy as one billion suns. Magnetars, unlike other neutron stars, contain the strongest known magnetic fields in the universe. Neutron stars usually form when a star fails to make the cut.
