In an unexpected find, while hiking, the latest report revealed that three boys found a unique and rare Tyrannosaurus rex fossil near the North Dakota badlands. Now, the Denver museum is working hard to reveal the fossil fully, which is available to public view.

Dinosaurs are considered one of the remarkable species that lived on Earth millions of years ago. Experts and archaeologists worldwide are studying and trying to find different dinosaur fossils that provide new insights into their existence, behaviors, and survival.

Using advanced technologies and tools, researchers uncovered fossils even if they existed many million years ago.

According to a report published on June 4, three boys made a significant discovery. Kaiden Madsen, Liam Fisher, and Jessie Fisher unraveled a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil near the North Dakota badlands. Although it was an unusual discovery, it plays a crucial role in the history and understanding of dinosaurs.

At first glance, Tyler Lyson thought that it was a duckbill dinosaur. Tyson is also the vertebrate paleontology at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. However, upon excavating the area and closer analysis, the report showed that it was a T.rex fossil.

With the excavation team and the boys, the report higlighted that the team managed to uncover the fossils. It is now known as 'The Brothers,' which is believed to be around 13 to 15 years old when it passed away.

Amazingly, they unearthed different fossils of tailbones, a leg, a hip, and a pelvis, including a part of the skull. With the help of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, it will work to reveal the fossil fully. However, it will take about a year to prepare.

In Discovering Teen Rex, the public is allowed to see the preparation process. The discovery by the three boys is said to be very significant.

Tyrannosaurus rex: What people should know about them

According to reports, Tyrannosaurus rex thrived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 66 to 68 million years ago.  The large carnivorous dinosaur reached about 12 meters and weighed about seven tons.

In their lifetime, these dinosaurs had a strong bite and improved eyesight. They could also detect or sense potential prey.
