In the US, the current administration will invest about $7 billion for the seven hydrogen hubs, which can be found in the following areas:

Midwest
Pacific Northwest
California
Appalachians
Mid-Atlantic
Gulf Coast
Heartland

Besides contributing to a healthy environment, the hydrogen boost can generate more jobs for many Americans. When it becomes a power source, there will be a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

The report added that the installation of hubs will significantly reduce emissions, reaching about 25 million metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.

One of the cleanest is called the green hydrogen. Meanwhile, the production of the blue hydrogen is from the natural gas. However, green hydrogen can become challenging to produce in some portions of the US.

In addition, the clean hydrogen can replace the coking coal in the steel industries. As a result, authorities are working on different ways to produce hydrogen energy.

Experts also noted the contribution of solar and wind energy in reducing greenhouse emissions and fossil fuels. In the US, the hydrogen boost will help the mobility sectors, including trucks, cars, and ships.
