The latest weather forecast warned of severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes in the Lower Mississippi Valley next week, bringing slower commutes and strong winds.

The National Weather Service (NWS0 warned of damaging winds and tornadoes this week, especially in Central and Southern Alabama. People with travel should check the weather, especially for isolated tornadoes.

In the Pacific Northwest, homeowners keep updated with the heavy atmospheric events in the region. Flooding concerns are also likely, particularly in the low-lying areas in the Northwest.

The main concerns in this week's weather are heavy rain, flooding, damaging winds and localized power outages. In Central and Northeastern Kentucky, the forecast warned of severe weather threat in the region and damaging strong wind gusts.

In San Diego, the advisory added that strong Santa Ana winds are likely this week. 

Isolated tornadoes and severe thunderstorms can still happen this winter in the US. In the NWS Weather Discussion, the heavy to excessive rainfall is likely in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Meanwhile, heavy snow conditions can unload in the Interior Northeast and Northern Appalachians. According to NWS Tornado, a tornado watch was issued in portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas.

The challenging strong winds can damage power lines, light vehicles and roof systems. In San Diego, the advisory added that strong Santa Ana winds are likely this week.

In Southern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee, isolated flash floods and fast-moving storms are also likely this weekend. Recently, scattered severe thunderstorms were forecast from east Texas to the Tennessee Valley on the weekend.

The strong winds in Tennessee resulted in six casualties, while 23 people were injured. The strong winds damaged power lines and trees. In the city, at least 50,000 people suffered from power outages.

Damage to houses was also reported due to strong tornadoes. Homeowners should keep updated with weather advisories due to nocturnal tornadoes.
