The recent report said a 63-year-old man in New York City was finally saved after being stranded in open waters in the Atlantic Ocean.

The man began swimming at 5:00 a.m off Cedar Beach in New York before rip currents pushed him away.

It was supposed to be early swimming for Dan Ho at Cedar Beach in Babylon, New York. However, he was pushed away by the rip currents far away from the beach.

According to ABC7 News and Fox News, authorities reported that the 63-year-old stranded man was rescued from the Atlantic Ocean, far off Cedar Beach.

Reports from the Suffolk County Police Department explained that Dan Ho went swimming at 5:00 a.m. before he went missing.

While in the open waters, the man had no flotation device. He had to tread water for about five fours.

Ho found a fishing pole while treading in water. To help alert possible vessels, he tied his shirt to the pole.

With luck, the stranded man was found by Captain Jim Hohorst and Michael Ross.

The reports noted that there were no boats in the area. However, the two men caught that something was moving in the waters.

After he was rescued, he was immediately brought to a nearby hospital.
