Florida Ocean Temperature Reaches Over 100 Degrees; Temp Likely to Become World Record

The latest report showed that ocean temperatures in Florida waters reached over 100 degrees which could lead to a new world record.

The high temperatures and excessive heat conditions in the United States contributed to the warmer and hotter record.

Nature World News (NWN) recently reported that brutal heat emerged in the Southwestern US and South, causing heat watches and warnings.

The report added that portions of the Midwest and Northeast could anticipate a hotter weather outlook.
The weather could improve next week, bringing cooler conditions.

In Florida, researchers were alarmed by rising ocean temperatures due to heatwaves and climate change. Climate change could harm coral reefs and aquatic animals in the area.

Experts were monitoring the ocean temperatures on Florida coasts as parts of the US suffered from dangerous heatwaves.

According to The Guardian and Washington Post reports, Florida Keys had a possibly new world record of ocean temperatures after reaching 101.19, the same as a hot tub.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that the average to normal water temperatures recorded between 73F and 88F.

Based on the reports, the high and unusual ocean temperatures occurred on Monday morning in the waters of Manatee Bay, near the South of Miami.

Furthermore, a study published in the National Library of Medicine showed that the highest temperature found was 99.7F in the Arabian to Persian Gulf.

The research explained the effects of Global warming on ocean temperatures that could harm the marine environment.
The report highlighted that several fish kills were recorded.

On the coast of Florida, the high temperatures could affect aquatic animals, especially coral reefs that are sensitive to rising temperatures.

In an interview with CNN, Derek Manzello from NOAA Coral Reef Watch explained that they did not expect high temperatures to occur early and become extreme.

Manzello added that the event was unprecedented and considered alarming, especially during the summer.

The report said that the high temperatures on the Florida coast could result in severe bleaching. The effect on the marine environment could significantly impact human food and livelihood.

According to The Guardian, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) noted the rise of global sea temperatures this month.

Recently, Nature World News (NWN) and Associated Press (AP) reported that some coral reefs around the Florida coast suffered from heat stress, causing them to look pale and white.

Researchers monitoring the coral reefs in Florida discovered the coral bleaching due to the high temperatures. It can make corals susceptible to possible diseases and likely die.
