Pyramid shaped UFOs were a series of unverified phenomenon based on unconfirmed sightings in recent years. The topic shocked social media with videos of UFOs, officially called as unidentified flying objects.

While the matter has often been neglected or ignored in the past several decades, the Pentagon had finally addressed the mysterious phenomenon, examining its authenticity and potential explanations behind it.

In 2022, the United States Congress conducted a hearing regarding increasing UFO sightings across the country. The unaddressed 'UFO claims' accumulated as the last public congressional hearing about the unexplained aerial phenomena reportedly took place in 1969.

Prior to the hearings, various reports show the U.S. government have debunked the claims that these aerial objects are extraterrestrial by nature.

In May 2022, the Pentagon reported that there were about 400 UFO encounters or sightings reported by the country's own military, with some events occurring during aerial operations. In one of many videos showing pyramid shaped objects, U.S. government officials clarified they were only "drones," ABC News reported.

The number of encounters has significantly increased from 144 based on a 2021 report by the U.S. intelligence community, the U.S. media outlet says. This comes as top Pentagon officials reportedly informed a House panel that reports of around 400 UFO events came from anecdotal accounts from U.S. military personnel.

The figure is in addition to UFO sighting claims by ordinary civilians throughout the decades, particularly since the 1940s. The objects were also called flying sauces and became an American cultural phenomena, according to the U.S. Library of Congress.

UFO Military Videos and Photos

Prior to the hearings, reports of the 'UFO military videos' started before the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic when the Defense Department confirmed leaked images and clips of "unidentified aerial phenomena" taken 2019, acknowledging the legitimacy of the photos about the mysterious objects, CNN reported.

The triangle-shaped objects from the photos and videos, taken by U.S. Navy personnel, were blinking, and moving through the clouds, according to Pentagon spokeswoman Sue Gough who told CNN at that time. Despite the authenticity of the said evidence of pyramid shaped UFOs, the exact nature of the flying objects remains unknown.

Potential Theories

Considering the UFO sightings, conspiracy theorists have pointed out that the aerial objects seen by the U.S. military are in fact "alien spacecrafts." However, the U.S. government has denied such claims, and there has been no concrete scientific evidence signifying the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, at least capable of building sophisticated spacecrafts until now.

According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the narrative behind aliens visiting Earth is nothing but a story since there is no evidence of life beyond Earth has ever been found.

According to senior military leaders, the Pentagon's investigation of UFOs has so far not led to any significant evidence that would suggest aliens or extraterrestrials have visited Earth or crash-landed on our planet, as cited by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

While the Pentagon also asserted that there is no evidence of aliens on our planet, it has not ruled out their existence, the Australian media outlet said.
