According to forecasts, Texas will continue to experience severe weather, as Austin may anticipate daily rain for the whole week.
Daily Rain in Austin
Each day this week, there is a chance of rain in Austin. Monday's highs in the region will soar into the 90s with some sunshine this afternoon. There may be a few isolated pop-up showers today, but the main line of storms won't start moving until around 8 tonight in the Hill Country and won't pass through the Austin region until 10 or 11 pm. There is a chance of severe weather, especially in the Hill Country. The major dangers include large hail and damaging winds.
Daytime highs in Austin will return to the 80s after today. However, because of the humidity, it will still seem quite warm outside. Through the remainder of the week, there is a daily possibility of rain.
Severe Weather, Storm, Flood
The Southern Plains will be receiving a slow to almost halting approach from an upper-level system out west. By Friday and into the weekend, there will likely be widespread heavy rain and storm possibilities in Austin. Severe weather is potentially and flooding is likely for certain areas Friday through Sunday, according to the Weather Prediction Center's 7-day prospective rainfall projection, which continues to show widespread 2-4" or more of rainfall across a significant portion of Central & South-Central Texas, CBS Austin reports.
According to KVUE forecasts, the heavy rains will extend to May 16, Tuesday next week. Tomorrow, the chances of rain will reach 60% and will drop to 40% by Thursday. However, by the weekend, the chances of rain will rise to 70% and 60% on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Multiple Flood Warnings Around Texas
In counties Goliad and Karnes, along San Antonio River at Highway 72 near Runge, the warning will last until past 9 AM tomorrow. Forecast floods for the rivers became longer-lasting and more severe, moving from Minor to Moderate.
In counties Angelina, Houston, Polk, Trinity, and Tyler, the warning will last until 7 AM on May 11. The warning is triggered as Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
In Anderson, Cherokee, Houston, and Trinity, the warning will last until 1 AM on May 11. Some areas are under another Flood Warning that will end by May 12, and some until further notice is given by weather officials, National Weather Service reports.

Dust and Dander in Texas
Today, dust and dander are at extreme levels, which means that the risk of triggered symptoms is extremely high. People who suffer from dust and dander allergies should be taking an allergy medication that can help relieve symptoms.
