In the latest weather forecast, AccuWeather explained that unusually colder air and cold would likely unfold this week.

The weather forecast added the possibility of snow emerging as the colder air spreads across the U.S.

The report added that Western states could feel the colder temperatures this week that seems like not April.

Recently parts of the West, especially California, experienced severe weather conditions from heavy snow and flooding rainfall.

The challenging weather in California in March resulted in widespread power outages, evacuations and immediate health concerns.

Furthermore, Reuters reported that the heavy snow and relentless rain in California helped ease the drought conditions in the region.

Based on AccuWeather's outlook, the weather forecast said that unseasonably cold temperatures could emerge in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver and Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, the weather noted that a storm could emerge in the West. The forecast said snow could be possible in Billings, Rapid City, Cheyenne, Fargo and Thunder Bay from Monday to Wednesday.

On the other hand, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that a snowstorm is expected to impact parts of the Central Plains, Intermountain West and Central U.S.

The weather forecast explained that blizzard-like conditions could occur in the Northern Plains. In addition, parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota could experience challenging snow conditions.

The forecast also warned of troublesome cold conditions, especially in the Northern Plains. The advisory explained that motorists should consider the weather conditions before traveling.

Motorists who could become stranded could suffer from dangerous colds, including frostbite and hypothermia.

How to deal with the challenging cold

This week, parts of the United States experienced severe weather conditions, from tornado outbreaks to thunderstorms and snow conditions.

Although Americans are used to the colder weather, the cold could still raise concerns for outdoor workers, older adults and other vulnerable sectors.

The American Red Cross explained the importance of staying warm during challenging cold conditions. Here are important reminders for this week.

  • Homeowners should keep updated with the weather conditions this week, from severe weather conditions and challenging cold.
  • Checking the body temperatures of people with pre-existing health conditions and older adults would be recommendable to avoid the risks of hypothermia.
  • Wearing appropriate winter clothes would be recommendable. It is best to avoid outdoor activities when the weather is extremely cold.
  • For motorists traveling this week, checking for road closures and road hazards is essential. Snow conditions could also add challenges for motorists.
