A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for some of Colorado as the persistent freezing drizzle draws in colder temperatures.
Freezing Drizzle for the Coming Days
For the next few days, Colorado will experience colder temperatures with a chance of fog and freezing drizzle along the Front Range and eastern plains.
Today, Tuesday, Denver can expect cool temperatures and mostly cloudy skies. Fog and freezing drizzle may have an impact on Tuesday morning traffic.
The Hi-Plains School District R-23 will start classes on Tuesday at 10 AM.
In the Denver area, Thursday will be much warmer and windier.
The weather then turns milder on Friday and Saturday, and it may persist into the following week.
Colder Temperatures
Today in Denver, the skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be chilly, which will be the same through Thursday.
Depending on the temperature, the moisture that falls will either be rain, snow, or drizzle. Over many mountain locations, there will also be isolated snowfall, with a passing weather disturbance dropping several inches of snow across the far northern mountain regions on Thursday.
Today, Tuesday will be Mostly cloudy and cool, with highs around 40 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance for light snow or freezing drizzle tonight and temperature lows will be at 27 degrees.
On Wednesday, it will be Mostly cloudy and staying cool with temperature highs at 42 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy with a chance for snow or freezing drizzle overnight coupled with lows of 28 degrees.
Thursday will be Partly cloudy with a slight chance for snow, and highs at 49 degrees. It will be partly cloudy overnight with temperature lows of 25.
Friday will expect Mostly cloudy skies and more seasonal weather, with highs at 53. At night, it will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance for drizzle, and lows of 35, 9News reports.
Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory over parts of Colorado for the ongoing freezing drizzle, along with ice accumulations that could result in a light glaze.
I-25 Urban Corridor and nearby plains into parts of northeast Colorado are among the areas that are affected. The alert will last until 11 AM MST this morning.
Weather forecasters issued a warning that extremely slick roads, bridges, and even sidewalks are possible and that the dangerous conditions may affect Tuesday morning traffic.

Other Weather Alerts
Aside from the two Winter Weather Advisories issued, other parts of Colorado are under a Red Flag Warning, which will last until 6 PM MST today, and a Fire Weather Watch, which will last until 6 PM MST tomorrow.
Health and Weather, Denver
Dust and dander are at very high levels today in Denver, which will remain the same until Friday, March 10, except on Wednesday when it will slightly wane to high levels. By Saturday and Sunday, dust and dander will return to high levels.
Meanwhile, triggers for sinus pressure, the common cold, and asthma are at moderate levels. Officials remind affected individuals to take the proper precaution or medication, AccuWeather reports.
