A stunning and rare ice and pancake-looking ice transformation emerged in Lake Michigan after the waves of arctic air brought snow and freezing conditions.

In Lake Michigan, the pancake-looking transformations became an instant hit on social media because of their unlikely appearance.

According to AccuWeather's latest forecast, the ice transformation in Lake Michigan is in the northern part of Milwaukee.

The post on Facebook had 239 interactions, 50 comments and about 24,000 views. The ice appearance amazed many Facebook users, adding the image of donuts and pancakes.

Lake Michigan recorded different transformations during extreme and freezing conditions.

Furthermore, the report explained that they could form in lakes or bodies of water when temperatures drop during freezing conditions.

However, the ice formations are considered fragile when humans touch them. It could last within the day, depending on the current temperatures.

Furthermore, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that a potent storm is expected in the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes this week.

The advisory explained that heavy snow is forecast to unload in Upper Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin. In addition, residents in New England can anticipate for wintry mix outlook.

In Central Rockies the latest key message from NWS explained that snow squalls are expected in the Central Rockies, bringing scattered snow showers and wind gusts.

The weather forecast added that the burst of snow would result in reduced road visibility and challenging road conditions.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather and Nature World News reported that parts of the Midwest would experience a burst of snow this week.

The report explained that the potent storm in the South is forecast to reach Midwest, bringing colder conditions and snow.

The widespread snow is forecast to unload in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago, Dubuque, Des Moines, St. Joseph and Marquette.

On the other hand, strong winds would unfold in Detroit, Indianapolis, Columbus and Eerie on Thursday night, which could result in localized power outages and travel disruptions.

Meanwhile, the report noted that there could be a chance of a wintry mix outlook in the Southeastern United States.

On Saturday night, the weather forecast warned of possible snowstorms in Knoxville, Charlotte and Roanoke.

In addition, the slow-moving storm is expected to unleash flooding rainfall, strong wind, wet snow and localized flooding this weekend.
