CNN News explained that the heavy rain in California became worst after the emergence of atmospheric rivers and bomb cyclones. The combination resulted in relentless heavy rain in the region.

On the other hand, portions of the Midwest suffered from heavy snow. In Colorado, Denver, and Michigan, the heavy snow and freezing rainfall led to road accidents and significant travel delays.

The recent report from the National Weather Service (NWS) added that the winter storm would track portions of the Northeast.

The rain and heavy snow brought improved drought conditions. Although the weather became chaotic to many travelers, the forecast added that the moisture-packed storm brought beneficial train.
