With only days before the year ends, many residents who experienced the extremely cold weather and winter storm looked forward to a short weather warmup that could unfold this week.

The extremely cold weather in the United States was also due to the blast of arctic air that emerged in December. The freezing conditions became problematic during a power outage, especially at night.

The forecast also added that the winter storm would gradually weaken on Monday. However, motorists should watch for road hazards, including reduced visibility and slick roads.

However, many Americans could expect a brief weather warmup that could persist until the end of the week. Some parts of the United States could expect a faster warmup and relief.

According to AccuWeather's latest report (December 28, 2022), rapid weather warmup could persist in portions of the Mississippi Valley, Great Plains and Rockies.

In addition, residents in New York City, Denver, Chicago and portions of the Northeast could also expect a brief warmup. Starting Wednesday, the forecast explained that Charlottle, North Carolinas and Georgia could anticipate the weather warmup beginning Wednesday.

The recent weather report showed that portions of the West Coast could experience moisture-packed rain. The forecast said that the much-needed rain on West Coast could help drought-stricken areas.

On the other hand, the East Coast forecast also said that residents should observe the weather conditions for potential flooding and mountain snow.

According to AccuWeather's recent report, rounds of rain could also unfold in portions of Colorado, New Mexico and California. Mississippi Valley, suffering from drought, could also expect the much-needed rain.

On the other hand, portions of Arkansas, Texas, Florida and Tennessee could expect rainfall at the end of the week.

Although the weather could offer a rapid warmup, colder weather is expected to persist at night. Ensuring homeowners have sufficient heating systems and heat options is important, especially since cold weather can be life-threatening.

Furthermore, forecasts emphasized to motorists to be careful with the sneaky winter hazards, which could produce difficult road travel. Dense fog causing reduced road visibility could be challenging for many motorists trying to deal with the holiday rush.

According to an AccuWeather report, driving slowly and ensuring distance from other vehicles on the road is essential. Car owners should watch for slick roads to freezing weather conditions.

As a winter storm could become a major threat this week, preparing an emergency bag or kit at your home containing a flashlight, blankets, power banks, battery-powered radio and medicines is best. Power outages could also be possible.
