According to AccuWeather's latest weather forecast (December 14, 2022), the report showed that residents in the south-central US could expect severe weather conditions in which tornadoes and twisters could emerge.

The forecast explained humid air and jet stream helped to form severe weather. The report added that tornado warnings were announced on Wednesday as the tornado outbreaks emerged on Tuesday.

Tornado outbreaks could be disastrous due to the potential widespread damage. On Tuesday, AccuWeather reported severe weather with tornadoes in the Dallas-Forth area, western Mississippi, Arkansas, Northeastern Texas and Louisiana.

On the other hand, the forecast explained that residents in the western Florida Panhandle, southern Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana could expect severe weather conditions, causing strong winds, potential tornadoes and heavy rain. The severe weather could unload on Wednesday.

The report added that heavy rain could unload in portions of central Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama on Wednesday night, resulting in small to major flooding.

AccuWeather's weather outlook on Wednesday reported that severe thunderstorms could unleash damaging wind gusts, hail, tornadoes and flooding downpours. It could impact Columbus, Jackson, Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham.

  • On Friday, the forecast said chilly air could unfold in South Central, and snow and ice could emerge in portions of Texas and northern Louisiana.

Tornadoes could emerge at night. On the other hand, AccuWeather explained that nocturnal tornadoes could not be noticeable due to heavy rain and reduced visibility, which could become challenging to many residents.

Knowing how to prepare during tornado outbreaks is important.

Furthermore, the AccuWeather forecast said the severe thunderstorms could persist on Thursday that could cause isolated tornadoes, travel disruptions and damaging wind gusts. Thursday's forecast could unleash in Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston and Tallahassee.

The severe weather could also cause significant travel delays due to wet roads and flooded areas. People planning outdoor activities should check the weather status before leaving.

Those on the roadways should carefully drive as severe storms could result in road crashes or collisions. Reduced and poor road visibility is also possible.
