Mysterious white fleshy "scrotum sacks" that washed ashore on a UK beach was reported by a woman while walking her pet on a shore in England.
Reports emerged this week that the unusual material looked like an animal part, which closely resembles giant sacks or intestine from a whale.
However, there is only partial confirmation of the alien-like white sacks as of writing of this article.
Mysterious Animal Part
Helen Marlow was reportedly walking with her pup near Penzance, Cornwall, when she stumbled upon the massive, white sacks on the sand.
The bizarre objects were covered in seaweed and consisted of flesh from a marine animal.
The discovery was made shortly after the tide receded, indicating the scrotum sacks could have been washed up from the deep part of the Atlantic Ocean.
Marlow told Newsweek that she had no idea what the sacks were and could not connect from anything she has seen before.
However, she was quite certain that it was organic, comparing it to whale innards or stomach.
Stomach Part
The Marine Strandings Network, non-governmental organization and research group from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT) which records all marine strandings in Cornwall, reposted on its Facebook page the photos originally captured by Marlow.
The pictures were also made available on Newsweek.
In the Facebook post, the research group during an update earlier in November stated the enigmatic white sacks are part of a stomach.
Commenters of the post initially guessed that it could be a whale placenta, intestines, or stomach.
Some Facebook users also previously suggested that the objects look like very large plastic bag or man-made fibers.
Whales Species
CWT Marine Conservation Officer, Abby Crosby, told Live Science that the identification of the innards could be an exciting moment since it would determine a nearby whale birth.
Still, it is not clear what whale species the stomach part came from, but the available evidence suggests it comes from a large sea creature.
There are multiple whale species that can be found in waters off the coast of the UK, including humpback whales, fin whales, and minke whales.
It is also possible it came from a sperm whale, but the said species is relatively rare in this part of the world, according to Crosby, as cited by Live Science.
Marine Animal Strandings
Incidents of marine animal strandings, including sharks and whales, have occurred in different beach shores worldwide.
One of the instances is when a bizarre animal part, believed to be a whale penis, washed ashore in an island in Australia in October, which was also covered by Nature World News.
In May 2017, the National Geographic recalled the discovery of related strandings wherein a mysterious carcass of an apparent whale washed up on the Indonesian Island of Seram.
The animal's body has drawn attention from locals and online during that time after the bloody carcass stumbled in shallow water.
Earlier that year, the Nat Geo also mentioned a washed up mysterious hairy-looking "blob" in the Philippines in late February 2017, when locals found another carcass in Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
