Many Americans have been ready for the 2022 Thanksgiving, a much-awaited celebration for friends and family. It is only a week, but severe weather conditions and a potential storm could cause travel delays, according to the previous forecast.

Despite the potential good to poor weather outlook for travelers, weather forecasts noted the need to set the travel earlier to avoid travel delays. In the previous report, over 54 million Americans could be affected by the severe weather conditions for the 2022 Thanksgiving travel.

The report noted that travelers could overwhelm the airlines, and the potent storm could bring heavy rain and snow. The forecast showed that portions of Seattle, Salt Lake, and Denver could expect bad weather on November 23, 2022.

Meanwhile, AccuWeather's report added that good travel for the 202 Thanksgiving could be expected in portions of Miami, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Washington, Minneapolis, New York, Charlotte, Memphis, Los Angeles, El Paso, Billings, and San Francisco.

It is noted that portions of New York suffered from lake-effect snow, causing heavy snowfall and hazards. The impact of the lake-effect snow is expected to persist until the weekend.

The weather is said to become colder than usual with the colder air and the effect of lake-effect snow, indicating that winter is just a month away. Residents are advised to stay updated with the weather.

Despite the colder weather emerging in some portions of the United States, previous forecasts indicated that the 2022 winter would not be colder than the 2022 winter. The temperatures from October 2022 to November 2022 were on a rollercoaster ride, from a sudden widespread cooldown to a rebound to warm temperatures.

For snow lovers, the arrival of colder temperatures with the accumulation of snow offers happiness to them, and also for areas that suffer from record-high heat.

Below-Average Temperatures

According to AccuWeather's latest forecast, the report said that below-average temperatures this weekend are expected. AccuWeather said the cold Artic air would help bring winter-like temperatures to Southern Plains and Northern Rockies, extending up to southern Texas.

Meanwhile, the report also noted that the cold could persist in portions of Billings, Bismarck, Thunder Bay, Rapid City, and Omaha. Snow and snow showers could also emerge as the cold weather unleashes.

Furthermore, Saturday morning this week recorded very cold temperatures, including in Fargo, Denver, Sioux Falls, St. Louis, Memphis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Buffalo, and New York.

With the cold weather conditions, the forecast advised residents to observe cold-related health risks, including frostbite and hypothermia.

Cold weather preparations

The weather has become colder as the winter arrives. According to reports, the weather in the United States would record below-average temperatures causing snow or snowfall. Cold-related health risks could also emerge due to prolonged exposure to cold weather.
