However, experts, including pest control firms, claim the phenomenon could be the worst in many areas. The potential sure of wasp population could see gardens being overrun by the winged insects.
The authorities claim that intense is the main cause of the potential was surge across the UK. This comes several weeks after a major heat wave passed through country, shattering all-time records of high temperatures and experiencing the first issuance of a special type of heat warning from its Meteorological Office (Met Office).

Wildfires have also erupted during the said period.
UK Wasp Garden Invasion
Due to the hot and dry weather this year, the UK could be facing the wasp invasion by the end of the summer, according to the Mirror. Details about the looming threat was revealed after multiple pest control firms reported above-average call-outs in early August.
According to the Met Office, the meteorological summer in the UK always start on June 1 and lasts until August 31. The territory's meteorological seasons are divided into four periods which lasts three months each.
This means there is less than a month before the likely threat occurs, which could affect gardens outside residences and other establishments in urban and rural areas.
Soaring Temperatures
The scorching summer heat wave is expected to cause the insect's late-summer surge, The Sun reports.
The linkage between the wasp population spike and the UK's summer season has been known for a long time.

UK Winter Season
Yet, this is not the case of the invasive insects during other seasons, especially during winter, which spans from December to February each year. It is marked by freezing temperatures and icy conditions.
According to Pest Bristol Pest Control, when temperatures fall below 10 degrees Celsius, the wasps that remain in their nest by year end becomes "disoriented."
The UK-based pest control company compares the cold weather's wintery conditions effect on the wasps' central nervous system is comparable to hyperthermia on humans.
While the winter is several months ahead, the UK's busiest wasp control season ranges between June, July, August.
