In recent and urgent news from different news media outlets, as well as online news media websites, a total of 24 folks have been reported dead, owing to the severe weather condition that took place in parts of Uganda.

Both the local and national authorities have now been working hard to come up with different strategies and measures to secure the safety of the citizens and individuals from the flash floods that have been occurring.

 

Fierce Floods in Uganda


According to the latest update from the national administration as well as to the Uganda Red Cross estimates, which was posted under CNN Edition, the extreme events caused by severe heavy rainfall in portions of eastern Uganda had also resulted in the deaths 24 individuals.

The overflowing of water in different parts of Eastern Uganda, namely; Bugisu, Mbale, as well as Kapchorwa claimed the lives of ten folks on Sunday, this is as per to the national agency in control of assistance, emergency planning, including refugees in the Prime Minister's Office in an announcement close to the end on Sunday.

Spokesperson Nakasita further stated that a vehicle bringing humanitarian assistance was on its route to assist individuals who had been evacuated in the impacted regions, which is just one of the various methods the Uganda government have been doing in order to help assist the citizens having difficulty during this trying times.

The heavy weather conditions came on the heels of a serious slump in large sections of the nation, which has left the several places dry and vegetation in subject areas burnt. Moreover, the eastern area of Uganda is more susceptible to inundation following heavy rains; however, the entire nation is susceptible to environmental calamities.

24 People Dead Due to Flood in Uganda


Throughout the ancient times, heavy rains have killed a number of people. When flood events washed out residences in the nation's economic eastern Bududa area in 2018, more than 30 people were murdered and numerous others were relocated.

Relatively early in the year of 2010, there has been a record of 80 individuals that had been slain in district of Bududa by strong flash floods caused by a heavy rainstorm. The incident was noted to be one among Uganda's deadliest tragedies in current history, BDNews24 reported.
