After a severe thunderstorm that caused flooding in some areas of the city on July 14, the parking lot of a hotel in Las Vegas erupted with water. There have been reports of rainwater entering a parking lot at the LINQ hotel on Thursday afternoon. This comes after more than a hundred days of dry weather.

Parts of the city were under severe thunderstorm warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS), which warned residents of potential hail and 60 mph wind gusts. On Thursday, the NWS also issued flood advisories for the area, advising drivers to avoid any flooded roads.

Dry Streak: OVER

Another flood warning was issued through 8:45 p.m. for a section of southeast Clark County near Searchlight.

Flash flood warnings are also in effect for portions of northwest Arizona. The Regional Flood Control District reminds people not to attempt to drive through flood waters. Hazards could include heavy rain, nuisance flooding, and winds of 40 mph or more, News3 Las Vegas reports.
