Cleveland's Tower City Center is currently building the new Skylight Park, an indoor park furnished with benches and picnic tables. On Saturday, July 16, a grand opening event is planned to reveal the renovated area inside the Skylight Concourse at Tower City. The event lasts from noon to six o'clock.

Skylight Park

According to representatives, Skylight Park is a part of Bedrock's initiatives to transform Tower City into a destination for dining, entertainment, shopping, and other activities.

According to officials, Skylight Park will provide visitors with a chance to interact with nature while visiting Tower City. It is furnished with picnic tables, benches, and chairs. To highlight the beauty and greenery of Skylight Park, Bedrock, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park collaborated to create it.

According to a press release from the government, it will include Eastern Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) and Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta L.), two plants that are native to Ohio and were inspired by traditional midwestern foliage.

In addition, inspirational sayings and mantras will be displayed among the vegetation throughout the indoor park to give visitors a chance to stop and think during their busy day.

Vice President of Community Partnerships at the Conservancy for CVNP Donté Gibbs expressed excitement for residents of the area to take advantage of this cutting-edge urban park that honors the importance of green space for wellness, health, and education. The Conservancy has been an enthusiastic planning partner with Bedrock to create this new space at Tower City that connects the national park with downtown Cleveland.

Thursdays at 11:30 a.m., Skylight Park will host a lunchtime music series. through 1:30 p.m.

Additions to Tower City

In the most recent announcement, Bedrock included MODBites, Unscript'd Boutique and The Eatery's Ninja City as new additions to Tower City.

Officials stated that they wanted Tower City Center to be a destination marketplace for the community to eat, gather, and interact when they first revealed their plans to give the building a facelift in July of last year.

Real estate company Bedrock gave the public a sneak preview of the upcoming improvements to the famous Cleveland location. They claim that with an influx of small, local, and minority-owned businesses, it is destined to become a hub for dining, shopping, pop-up retail experiences, and entertainment.

According to a press release from Bedrock on Thursday morning, Tower City Center will be a gathering place for the neighborhood where people can eat, drink, and interact. It is centrally located and is designed after famous markets from around the world. An ongoing calendar of family-friendly events, seasonal programming, and pop-ups will offer an influx of opportunities and options for northeast Ohio consumers, including professionals, locals, and tourists, with the customer experience always at the forefront.

At a later time, details about the new tenants at Tower City Center will be shared. According to Bedrock, leasing for additional retail, food and beverage businesses, and entertainment is currently in progress.
