According to Click On Detroit meteorologist Brandon Roux, the region will experience comfortably cooler air for one more day, calling it a "June treat."
Forecasts indicate that the skies will remain clear and that the humidity will not be a problem because Metro Detroit is expecting another very nice warming temperature later today, which will allow for outdoor activities.
The first Friday of summer in 2022 will be a chamber of commerce, and Roux notes that it will be a perfect day with sunshine, warm temperatures, and one more day of very low humidity. Today's highs are expected to reach the mid-to-upper-80s in the Metro Detroit area, which is about six degrees above average for this time of year.
The winds will be on the light side, but after bringing in cooler air from the northwest for nearly two days, they will switch to the southwest. This is merely a sign that the weekend is approaching and that the weather is gradually warming up and becoming a little bit more humid.
Warm, Sunny, Comfy
The sunset will happen at 9:14 in the evening. According to Roux, Detroit will experience abundant morning sunshine on Saturday with chilly temperatures in the low and mid 60s.
After a couple of very warm but bearable days in Michigan, the sun and southern breezes will help high temperatures tomorrow hover around 90 degrees with just a hint of mugginess. Before a cold front and possible rain arrive Sunday morning, skies will start to get cloudier in the afternoon.
Later, Roux claimed that the best chance for rain in the coming days would be on Sunday morning. Those who are anticipating rain should expect some scattered thunderstorms and rainshowers for a few hours at 5 am to 10 am. with a few light showers early in the afternoon.
The likelihood of a widespread soaking is low, and the area may even experience a small amount of late-afternoon sunshine and highs in the mid-80s.
On Monday, a fresh round of cool, dry air will arrive just in time for the Ford Fireworks. With a light breeze, a nice mix of sun and clouds, and morning lows in the 50s on Monday, highs for the afternoon look to reach between 75 and 78 degrees.
On June 24, the majority of people will find the air quality to be acceptable. According to AccuWeather, however, prolonged exposure may cause mild to moderate symptoms in sensitive groups.
U.S. National Weather Service Air Quality Alert
Saturday, June 25th has been designated as an action day for elevated ozone levels by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. Pollutants are anticipated to be unhealthy for vulnerable populations.
Activities that cause ozone formation are strongly discouraged by both individuals and companies. These activities include refueling vehicles or topping them off when refueling, using charcoal lighter fluid, and operating lawn equipment that runs on gasoline.
It is advised that active children, adults, and those suffering from respiratory conditions like asthma limit prolonged outdoor activity.
