After Russian missile assaults devastated cages, animals at Ukraine's oldest zoo will be tragically euthanized.

Because it is only 64 kilometers from the Russian border, Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-biggest city, has been hard struck by enemy troops.

The zoo sits on the city's northern outskirts, considerably closer to Russia.

Oleksandr Feldman, a member of parliament and the creator of the Kharkiv ecopark, believes there is no way to save them from the devastating zoo grounds.

After the Russian bombardment, a devastated Ukrainian zoo is putting all of its animals to sleep, as per Mirror.

The huge animals will be put down, according to an MP and the proprietor of an ecopark in Kharkiv, because there is no way to save them after the zoo was damaged.

According to Feldman, the Russian bombardment destroyed the attraction.

Because there is no way to remove or transfer large animals, they will be put to sleep.

According to the zoo's website, it houses about 6,000 animals.

In a video message, he delivered the heartbreaking news of what had occurred, as well as the terrible news that a rescue is doubtful.

He stated, "There is no longer an Ecopark."

He can say that the park has already been nearly entirely destroyed as a result of yesterday's bombardment.

Animal cages have been demolished, as has all infrastructure, yet tigers and lions have somehow survived. Their enclosures have been severely damaged, and they are free to go at any time.

The structure in which the bears dwell is in a bad state. they'll have to make a decision today. He told them they had until the evening to decide whether to euthanize them or relocate them.

The zoo's director stated that there was nowhere else they could take the animals, but that they planned to rescue some of them by adopting younger large cats.

However, he said that all adult animals would most likely be euthanized because they cannot be salvaged or re-homed.

One month after Kyiv zookeepers created a modern-day Noah's Ark to avoid the invasion, the painful choice to destroy the animals was made.

The animals were rescued from a shelter in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, and have safely arrived in Poland after a terrible six-day journey.

Animal Euthanasia

The phrase "euthanasia" refers to a technique of death that reduces the animal's suffering, anguish, and worry before it loses consciousness.

Due to situational limits, techniques utilized in situations like pest management, slaughter, or depopulation may not always fit the requirements for euthanasia.

Animal slaughter, depopulation, and compassionate killing vary from euthanasia in that they are carried out for purposes other than relieving an animal of unresolvable pain or anguish.

Animal euthanasia is a routine operation done by veterinarians; yet, due to the importance of the deed, it demands careful consideration.

The killing of healthy animals when no other option for their treatment can be found is one of the most difficult euthanasia choices that veterinarians must make.
