4 Reasons That Fitness Center Owners Should Consider Switching to New Software

As the owner of a gym or fitness center, you know the value of using software that makes life easier for your clients as well as your staff. What if the software is not providing the benefits that you expected? Perhaps now is the right time to think about making a change.

If this is happening to your customers, don't feel alone. Today, many Mindbody clients are thinking to switch to another provider. Perhaps you should do the same. If any of the following is happening, it's time to look at alternatives.

The Constant Need for New Updates

Updates from time to time are one thing. When it seems as if you have to constantly download and install updates or add-ons in order to get the most from the software, perhaps it wasn't the best choice in the first place. In spite of what the provider offered, things simply didn't pan out.

Keep in mind that things won't necessary get better even after you install the add-ons. As your business grows, the software may become more difficult to use. That's not good for you or for your clients. See what else is out there and find out what their customers think. You could find that making a change makes things easier for everyone now and will also position you for future expansion of your clientele.

Some Of Your Clients Have Trouble Receiving Information

One of the reasons for using the software is to make it easier for your clients to keep up with things like their workout stats, appointment dates and times for private workout sessions, and to receive tips on taking care of themselves. When the software is not delivering these types of information in a timely manner, no one benefits. You'll do well to find a different software package with a higher success rate.

They Also Have Trouble Signing Up for Classes or Booking Registrations for Special Events

Ideally, the software is supposed to make it easy for clients to book appointments for one-on-one workout sessions, sign up for upcoming classes, and in general keep up with their fitness schedules. If they're getting errors every time they want to learn more about a class or find out if one of your staff can work with them on a specific date and time, there's a serious issue.

Rather than allowing the software to keep frustrating your clients, consider looking for a platform that doesn't time out or return errors frequently. You can bet that SPA customers will love the convenience of booking online without having to deal with a lot of hassle.

Signing In and Out Should Be Easy: It's Not

The software you use now is supposed to all gym members to sign in as they enter the building. Rather than standing in line to check in with the front desk, they can head to the locker rooms, change, and make their way to their classes. In like manner, they can use the app on their phones to check out as they leave.

Sounds great, but this is of no real value if the software won't let them check in or out. Instead, they end up having to go to the front desk anyway. Save them the trouble and offer them access to a software platform that allows them to sign in and out with ease.

If you're not happy with the fitness software your business is using now, do something about it. Compare the software with other products out there. Take advantage of free trials and run them side by side. It won't take long to find software that consistently does what you need it to do.
