A company ventures into the unthinkable. Humai dwells into discussions about the afterlife and plans to "resurrect" the dead via artificial intelligence (AI).

The advent of modern technology has indeed introduced a myriad of developments to make human life easier. However, a company plans to use technology "beyond" life. Research has begun at Humai to bring back the dead using artificial intelligence systems.

The Los Angeles-based company is working on a technology project called the Atom and Eve. According to the American Intelligence Report, the Atom and Eve project will be able to let human consciousness be transferred into an artificial body after death. They will use a combination of emergent technologies to ensure the program's success.

The "company" is composed of five individuals, but all of them with a larger goal in mind. Two of them are researchers, another an ambassador, and an AI expert. Humai believes human beings can be "resurrected" into artificial bodies in just 30 years. Their new technology will be able to gather "conversational styles, behavioral patterns, and thought processes" that would be stored on a silicon chip via AI and nanotechnology.

The company will use a combination of bionics, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence to make sure their advocacy works. And while the entire thing seems a bit too deep into science fiction, Josh Bocanegra, founder of AI, begged to differ.

According to the Transhumanist, he told Australian Popular Science that the brain of the deceased would be first frozen using cryogenics. This means that by the time the technology is fully developed, the brain could be transferred into an artificial body.

Humai did acknowledge that such an endeavor will be costly and expensive. However, given the progress in some technological wonders, the affair seemed to be closer to reality. Bocanegra emphasized this is not fighting death but making death an optional choice.
