Adidas is planning to set a new shoe manufacturing factory in Germany staffed by robots. Last year, they announced this plan and will be executing by the end this year.

'Speedfactory' will be the name of Adidas new manufacturing unit in its native country, Germany. The sportswear maker already formed a robot-staffed shoe-making unit in its native place.

The company will set up one more Speedfactory in the US as well, which is expected to be opened in 2017. 'Atlanta home,' the Speedfactory in Stateside with a facility of 74,000-square-foot space, is expected to be functional by the end of 2017. Initially, the company will be working to achieve a goal of 50,000 pairs of running shoes from its Atlanta home as early as possible.

Adidas hit a record high by making 301 million pairs of sports shoes last year. The vision of Speedfactory is to increase the volume of production so fast. While processing with machine power, it reduces the manpower, ignoring the increasing unemployment or the opportunity that may give some people to work. According to the report of Engadget, it will serve as a source of "endless opportunities for customization in America."

If Adidas implements this robotic plant to the regions like China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, the traditional workers will be under the crisis of unemployment. According to South China Morning Post, Foxconn, the electronic manufacturer cut 60,000 labors from the single factory through the implementation of the new high-tech system, the Fortune reported.

According to Engadget, the company will provide 160 human openings, but will not unveil the nature of the work they have to do.
