A real-life Black Beauty has taken the social media world by storm.
Meet Frederik the Great, a Friesian stallion who is dubbed the world's most handsome horse, and his beautiful black mane is what netizens describe as "#hairgoals" in Internet speak.
Frederik was named after the 18th century Prussian monarch and is owned by the Pinnacle Friesians stud farm located in the Ozark Mountains in the United States. According to the website, Frederik is a "gentle giant and gentleman," and he is often described as a "Labrador in hooves."
Frederik has been known for his perfectly muscular build, striking black features and long, flowing locks that seem to change styles according to his mood. He has become an internet sensation, and his Facebook fan page has quite a fan base with over 17,000 followers.
Boredom Therapy even commented in an article: "That hair! It's like someone crossed a horse with the hunky lead from a romance novel."
His YouTube channel has more than 10,000 subscribers, and an online gallery featuring artworks of him has also been created.
Fans have taken to social media to express their devotion for the horse, and some are even so overcome by Frederik's beauty that they chose to have their wedding pictures taken with him.
Although the Internet had already picked up on him in 2012, Frederik's popularity has only recently begun to spread in social media due to a number of film production companies getting him to do movie appearances.
Stud services are also being offered for Frederik, according to the website. "Frederik will contribute so many attributes to his offspring some of which would include height, performance potential, wonderful temperament, conformation, excellent gaits, smooth transitions, a great willingness to work, very strong black gene, and tons of hair," the owners said.
In September 2015, Frederik welcomed his first son, and he would be just as stunning as his famous father.
