Huge 15-Pound, 7 Ounce Baby Born In United Kingdom, Second Largest Vaginal Birth In U.K. (VIDEO)

Calling newborn George King a little bundle of joy would be a gross understatement.

At 15 pounds, 7 ounces, there's nothing little about out the newborn. The boy was born nearly twice the size of an average newborn, and was reportedly the second largest baby vaginally delivered in the United Kingdom.

When mother Jade King went into labor six weeks ago, she had no idea her baby would be so big.

"When his head was out, that's when they realized he was so big, and then his shoulders got stuck, and that's when everything sort of kicked off,really. There were about 20-odd doctors in the room, and that's when it got really scary," said Jade in an interview with BBC.

Because no one knew he would be so big, doctors struggled to deliver him, the BBC reported.

George went without oxygen for five minutes and was given a 10 percent chance of survival.

"He's a little miracle -- well, a big miracle, really," said his mom.

George was transferred to St. Michael's Hospital in Bristol and was kept there for four and a half weeks.

His mother said that George might grow up to be a slow learner due to the complications during birth.

George didn't fit into any of his newborn clothes and had to go straight to three- to six-month size.

The six-week old baby is more than 26 inches long and has only put on a pound since being born.

The largest baby ever born reportedly weighed 23 pounds 12 ounces, but died shortly after birth.
