Earth Observing Satellite Landsat 5 to be Decommissioned
The longest-operating Earth observing satellite, Landsat 5, will be deactivated after spending decades observing the changing planet and transmitting over 2.5 million images, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) announced last week.
