Scales of 15,000 Dead Pangolins Seized After Failed Smuggling in Nigeria
196 sacks of pangolin scales were confiscated after the authorities of the Nigeria Customs Service busted smugglers, trying to ship out 7.1 tons of pangolin scales out of the country. The pangolin trafficking represents about 15,000 dead pangolins, along with 840 kilograms of elephant ivory which represents over 80 dead elephants.
