The weather outlook in the United Kingdom showed that rain conditions and thunderstorms could be likely in the region this weekend.

People in the U.S. and Ireland with travel plans should monitor the weather outlook this weekend before leaving their houses.

Storm Betty is forecast to unload stronger winds and heavy rain outlook this week. People in low-lying or flooded areas should consider monitoring for the rapid rise of sea or floodwaters.

A stock photo of rains in London. The latest weather forecast said heavy rain conditions and thunderstorms are likely in the United Kingdom and Ireland this weekend, bringing slower commutes or travel disruption. 

According to the Irish Meteorological Service, Storm Betty is forecast to unleash challenging weather conditions in the U.K. and Ireland.

The troublesome weather conditions could likely unload in the following areas:

  • Wales
  • Southwestern Coast
  • Northern Ireland
  • Southwest Scotland
  • Southwest England
  • Kent
  • East Anglia
  • East Sussex

Gale conditions are also present. Rough seas or rip currents are also possible due to the weather conditions. Lightning could unfold anytime.

In addition, motorists with travel plans should observe the latest road conditions to prevent travel headaches. Slower commutes and travel disruptions could be likely this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Met Office forecast said a strong wind outlook and heavy rain could be possible. On Friday, thunderstorms could hit parts of the West and Southeast.

On the weekend, heavy rain rounds could likely be in Northern Ireland and Scotland. On Sunday, a cloudier outlook will unfold.

From August 23 and September 1, dry conditions and a warmer outlook could emerge in the Southeastern U.S.

Next week, the weather could improve, with sunny spells and a low chance of rain. Average temperatures could be ideal for people with outdoor or summer plans.

Hurricane Hilary in parts of the U.S

Weather forecasts were monitoring the developments of Hurricane Hilary in the following:

  • Baja California
  • Mexico
  • Southwestern U.S.

Homeowners should check the weather, as thunderstorms, strong winds and heavy rain. Chance of flooding is possible.

Based on the National Weather Service (NWS),  rain conditions could unload in the Southwestern U.S. A tropical Storm Watch was issued in parts of Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Forecasts observed three tropical waves in the Atlantic Ocean, especially in the Gulf of Mexico. 

Furthermore, the NWS Weather Prediction Center reported that dangerous heat could impact parts of the Southeastern and Central U.S. until early next week. Oppressive heat could unload in Texas and parts of Central Plains.

While some parts of the U.S. could experience wet conditions, the challenging heat could cause heat-related health concerns, including heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

Homeowners should avoid prolonged exposure to the heat, especially next week. It is advisable to keep it at home and limit outdoor activities.
