Americans with travel plans should bring an umbrella or raincoat protection, as rounds of rain could unload this week.

Recently, portions of the Northeast and the Midwest recorded warm temperatures and poor air quality due to the raging wildfire smoke in Canada.

After experiencing the challenging heat, the latest weather forecast reported that Northeaster US could expect stormy and rainy patterns until next week.

In the latest report, AccuWeather showed that the rainy outlook could unload in the Ohio Valley, East Coast and parts of the Northeast.

People with travel plans should continue to check the weather for heavy rain and thunderstorms. Slower commutes and travel disruptions are possible due to the rainy weather.

During the weekend, the latest forecast explained that rain and possible thunderstorms could unfold in Detroit, Columbus, Charleston, Washington, New York, Boston and Portland.

The warm and chilly conditions unfolded in the Northeast, but this week's storm could likely help unload more rain there.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported that localized heavy rain is forecast in the Northeast.

Chances of damaging winds and large hail are forecast in the Midwest and Upper Midwest. NWS added that the troublesome heat continued to unfold in the South-Central US.

The stormy pattern could help unleash heavy rain and flood risk locally in Portland, Boston, New York, Washington and Richmond from Monday to Thursday.

In New York City, the NWS New York NY reported that scattered showers will unfold in the city. The weather advisory advised New Yorkers to become careful with possible thunderstorms or lightning.

Furthermore, the rainy conditions could become beneficial, especially in drought-stricken areas. The rounds of rain could also help offer relief in portions of Indiana and Virginia.

However, the forecast noted that thunderstorms could unload in other parts of the United States.

Thunderstorms could help unleash large hail, isolated tornadoes and damaging wind gusts in Chicago, Lansing, Toledo, Columbus, Indianapolis, Indianapolis and Evansville.

Meanwhile, the forecast noted that the severe thunderstorms could unleash in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, New York, Washington, Virginia Beach, Raleigh, Wilmington, Charleston, Atlanta and Montgomery.

On the other hand, the advisory noted that dangerous heat could continue in the South-Central US and parts of the Southwest until next week.

Staying safe due to the severe weather

As threats of severe thunderstorms continue, Americans should monitor the latest weather updates, as the challenging weather could become problematic.

Large hail and isolated tornadoes could result in dangerous situations. Motorists with travel plans should anticipate possible travel delays.

Furthermore, homeowners should keep emergency kits for possible power outages and severe thunderstorms.

Preparing emergency plans at home is also recommended during the inclement weather forecast.
