- AccuWeather reported that destructive tornado outbreaks rampaged homes in the South, especially Houston and Texas. The report said no one was injured and casualties after the tornado.
- Meanwhile, USA Today added that gusty winds emerged in portions of California. The report said that parts of Los Angeles and Ventura would experience the Santa Ana winds.
- Recently, in Southern California or near the Malibu coast, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake emerged. No casualties or injuries were reported.
- In the Northeast, CNN US reported that it suffered from heavy snow and significant power outages. There were travel delays.
Rain and possible flooding

Snow drought in New York
New York City has experienced snow drought this winter season. The snow was only a trace and would not be sufficient to bring measurable snowfall in the state.
Many residents in NYC are still hopeful for measurable snowfall this season. According to AccuWeather, the state has not recorded measurable snowfall for about 300 days.
