Researchers Identify Fossil of South Australian Eagle as One of World's Oldest Raptor Species

An eagle fossil of about 25m years found on a distant outback cattle station in South Australia has been recognized as one of world's oldest raptor species. Palaeontologists found the eagle fossil on the coast of a dry lake referred to as Lake Pinpa in 2016.
