The chicken that laid the rare egg reportedly prefers a diet of rice instead of grain or corn.
The woman who owns the chicken said that the thought the bird was dying when it laid the massive egg. The woman said her hen has laid several abnormally sized eggs and attributes the phenomenon to the chicken's preferred diet of rice.
Although it was enormous enough capture the attention of the world, the hen's egg was not a record breaker.
