Russell Crowe confessed he believes in UFO's after he said he saw one outside his Woolloomooloo, Australia office and even posted a 23-second YouTube video of time-lapsed photos of the strange object in space.
"UFO? Time lapse photos outside RC's Wooloomooloo Office (THESE ARE REAL!)", the "Les Misérables" actor tweeted late Tuesday
Crowe stated that he and a friend set up a Cannon 5D outside his office to capture images of fruit bats "rising from Botanic Gardens." The photos were taken at dusk at it shows a pink, glowing object shoot across the screen.
Instead, three photos taken over 4.5 seconds show something brightly lit passing over the scenery very quickly.
Fellow Twitter users and fans were baffled by the Oscar winning actors actions. Some guessed that the "UFO" resulted from reflected fluorescent lights from the room that Crowe and his friend were in or even a lens flare or refraction from passing car headlights.
He quickly responded to skeptics on Twitter by saying the footage was shot on a "Canon 5D, no flash, can't be a lens flare because it moves, camera is fixed."
One commenter on YouTube made an interesting point to explain what this "UFO" really is.
"OK kiddies, get ya google maps out, and zoom in on finger wharf 10 in Woolloomooloo, Sydney," bernzeppi wrote. "Russ's place is near the end of the wharf, the shot is taken looking west towards the botanic gardens and Mrs Macquarie's Rd.... In the video you see 2 cars drive along Mrs Macquaries Rd, keeping in mind it's a time lapse shot with the shutter open for a number of seconds. The 'UFO' lights are a yacht passing in the foreground... there are lots of millionaires yachts moored there."
